My first post!

I have a midnight blue 330 and a Mapleglo 350v63... The time has come to get a Rick bass and I've narrowed it down to one of these but I just can't make my mind up which to get....what do you all think!???

Welcome to the RRF!
:D

Well, they're both great, but only the 4004Cii is currently in production.

The 4004Cii is, as some have said, "RIC's best kept secret" and is really a fantastic instrument...

I had both and currently had both for sale. The 4004cii sold first and the C64S is still available.

Both are fabulous basses and with a few modifications they can sound very similar.
I think ultimately the 4004 is the more versatile soundwise but only the 4001 has that classic Ric look.

Price wise the C64S will be more expensive and as mentioned no longer in production.

You cannot make a wrong decision with either one.

What Stephen said. Both great choices, but you are gonna have to shell out a few more sheckles for the C64. The Cii is a bit more ergonomically modern, without the massive bridge, horseshoe cover, and simpler layout,if that sort of thing appeals to ya. (I love 'em,i have a cii and a laredo)

Welcome to the forum Laurie! I'm one of those who say the the 4004s are the best kept secret in the world of bass guitars. I love the model 4004Cii. The V64 is a great instrument as well. Just curious, what kind of music will you be playing most?

In that case you may prefer a 4001 for that sound. The famous CLANK!!!

Congrats and enjoy the V64! "Rain" is simple enough for most to figure out by ear. :) Most tabs are not accurate anyway.

Yep, just look under the text box where you post stuff. There's a tab for Upload Attachments. Then there's a "Choose File" button that will browse your computer for pictures to upload.

The only thing is that pictures have to be no larger than 1280x1280 pixels so you might have to resize them. There are several resize programs out there, I don't know what they all are 'cause I use Photoshop, but I'm sure others will give suggestions for the free ones...

A decent easy free one would be Pixresizer on download.cnet.com
