Hi Guys-

This may be over with by the time this gets posted (My apologies, I only found out about this a few minutes ago)

That guitar was featured on American Bandstand, and I can also confirm it was used at the Whisky in September 1967, just before David's firing.

It looks like the auction for the Crosby Cape was pulled; the Blonde ES 335 sold for $25K.

Some tricky copywriting there, but it looks like they tried to say the 335 was a '58. Obviously not the case - looks like 1966, if I had to take a guess based on the features.

You really don't see blond ES's very often though, not a bad price considering the rarity and celebrity provenance.

Yes, that is clever copywriting: "Dating to 1958, this model . . ." etc.

The serial no. of this guitar makes it a 1963 build.

Yep, didn't see the serial number. :lol:

Would have been a custom order as well, being blonde and without stoptail holes or "custom made" plaque. Cool guitar!
