NOICE!!! Let us know what you think of the new amp,always thought they were interesting,never been able to demo one. I see you got the vt pedal AND a (tech21?) fuzz boost pedal lined up,so does this mean you keep the vt set to a less cranked tube sound,'cuz it WILL get pretty nasty all by itself.

As to Woody's inquiries:
The Amp: sounds great and reeks of vintage Rick mojo! Played it yesterday with my '84 4003s (strung with Roto's Swing 66) and it had a real bite to it. Bit of a buzz -- due in part to the single coils, and also the dodgy electrical in my music room. Played my cii RBY today and it was much less buzzy. More of a darker and woody tone (strung with D'Addario Chrome Flats). Also tried my '76 3001 (strung with Boomers), which had a real snarl and a bit of a buzz.
The Pedals: diggin' the Tech 21 Bass Boost Fuzz Pedal. The Fuzz is fun for "lead bass". I really like this pedal for its Low End Clean Boost setting, and its seperate Boost setting that allows clean signal to be mixed with Fuzz signal. Playing "Wipeout" on the "Sabbath Sickness" setting isn't a bad way to while away a rainy afternoon. The VT pedal is a bit of a beast. I did need to turn down the gain on the "Fat Tube" setting. My favorite combo was the cii RBY with the VT on "Fat Tube", and the Bass Boost setting on and the Fuzz setting off.

The 4004Cii Ruby being in front of the amp ain't too shabby either. One of these days, I'll have to try out my Cii Ruby through my RB120, which is a similar RIC amp to your TR120...but I'll have to repair or replace the speaker first.

It is in near mint condition!
It contains a 15" speaker, and has an on/off switch for piezo horns.

At practice last night,i had the gain,character,and drive set at 12:00,stepped back toward the amp to turn them down a bit,and the amp actually fed back in a big way. With a solid body passive pickup j bass.....but it's always fun to watch my guitar player's face when i crank things.(he plays through a 100 watt Guytron tube amp....at practice!) (it's loud)

It will definitely exhibit beastly behavior! At practice last night,i had the gain,character,and drive set at 12:00,stepped back toward the amp to turn them down a bit,and the amp actually fed back in a big way.
