366/12 a couple days ago. Wondering when it will show up their? Long ago, around '03, when I originally joined this site, I registered this same guitar but, it never showed up. Also, if I want to add pics, how would this be accomplished their?

I gather this one is yours... The pics look fine.

It must be approved by Gil or Peter before it shows up in public searches
But as you can see it is in the register.

Yes, it has to get approved before it shows up, just to weed out spammers and such. It usually takes 2 to 3 days for them to get it done...

Thanks guys, I found were my stuff was obviously by the pics being their. Just had to look a little further. I put the rest of my RICs in their as well. Not done with all the pics yet. This is a great place to 'archieve' these things.

Agreed! Plus it is shared research with other RIC players. Lastly if they are ever stolen it is a trail that can lead to the instrument's return... We have helped to re-unite several RICS with their real owners.

Thanks for the comment and the inclusions of my Rics. I found it odd that most of the 366's that are registered are mainly '67's and '68's with one or two made earlier. At any rate, nothing past '68. While not everybody who may own one of these is a member of this site, you'd think at least one built after '68 would show up. I was under the impression the 366 was built through '74. Perhaps it was only the converter system was used up until that date on a different model(s). Anyway, it's nice to own something that isn't 'the norm' in the RIC line.

Interesting point about lack of convertible models after 1968. Kind of dovetails with the dropoff in the number of 12-string guitars -- of any model -- produced in the few years after 1968. Here are numbers by year of 12-string guitars currently listed on the Register:
1967 -- 111
1968 -- 51
1969 -- 3
1970 -- 16
1971 -- 1

+2.
They're definitely in a useful place (the Register) in the event there is a theft -- it could help lead to their return.

Click on the link on the menu above called Rickenbacker Register
Then click on add new record.
Feed in the details SN, Model, colour and feel free to add some pics
register here first and the entry will be added to your account,
But even if you don't join the entry will have your contact info )as long as you provide it)
It will take a few days for the entry to become public
All 9 of my RICS are registered.

Welcome to the forum!
Just send a note (PM) to "admin" or "gibsonlp" and one of them will fix you right up!
Congrats on your new 4001!
