610 Twins

Just thought that I would share with everyone an early pic of my 610 'twins' comprising a 610-6 and a 610-12 in Fireglo, recently arrived in Ireland. As you all know, the 610 Ric guitars were the 'unbound' version of the 620/660 series, which makes them reasonably rare - indeed, these may be the only matched pair of FG 610s in Europe, if not elsewhere.
Both guitars were sourced through the Rickenbacker Resource Forum (but from two different sellers), but they also share a few other things in common. Both are in pretty much mint condition, with their OHSCs and similar (very limited) signs of bodywork ageing and, amazingly, it turns out that they were both manufactured in June 1995, bearing the Serial No's F8 7388 (610-6) and F8 7519 (610-12). I believe that 1995 was the last year of production. It almost seems that these two were destined to end up together.
So, no big issue and nothing to get too excited about - just click on the photo and enjoy these wonderful examples of the Ric Corporation's handiwork:
