The legendary special effects master thrilled our young imaginations with his innovative stop-motion sequences and creatures. He was 92.

Sad to hear. I still remember seeing "The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" (the first with a skeleton sword-fighting sequence) with my father when it was released.
