360/12 Body Size

I have a rather off-the-wall question about the current 360-series 12-string models. I just saw a brand new 360/12 hanging on display at Sam Ash, and, from my vantage point, the body of the guitar looked much smaller than my 2010 360/12 and all the other 360's I've seen. Was this an optical illusion? Also, from what I can tell from all the pictures of George Harrison's original Ric 12 posted here, my C63 looks like it has a smaller body than his. Are the photos playing tricks on me?

It's well known that all four Beatles were significantly height-challenged. In fact, George Harrison measured only about four inches tall. To accomodate this, Rickenbacker produced a special one-off miniature model especially for him.
Replicas are still available today from several sources:

Obviously, these miniature instruments suffer from a slight descrepancy in proportions when compared to the full-size models.
In all seriousness...your guitar is the same size as Harrison's. No worries!

I knew the question was in left field, so thanks for taking the time to answer.

IMHO pickguard placement makes 360/12C63's look bigger than they are.

I hadn't thought of that. Very interesting.

FWIW, here's a thread which has some posts on the differences, inlcuding slight differences in size, between a 360/12V64 and a 360/12C63:

Given how high up that wall they're hanging all those Ricks look like miniatures.

I don't know why Harrison's guitar looks so much larger to me in the photos, but I do know why that new 360/12 at Sam Ash seems smaller: it's looking down on me from about twenty feet above! I knew that if there were a change in body shape or size it would be noted here. But this thread hasn't been a total waste: I found the link libratune cited about the differences between V64 and C63 very informative.
