My girlfriend and I are going to L.A. at the end of the month. I have never been, and was wondering if there are any Rickenbacker related things to do/see(?). Am I right there is no Rickenbacker tour...? I thought about going out to corona to see the other guys  Anybody ever been? or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any info!

There is TrueTone Music out in Santa Monica which always has plenty of Rics in stock.

I believe Taylor Guitars down in San Diego has factory tours open to the public.

Thanks for all the info. Anybody been to Fender factory? Is it worth going? Really wish Ric did the tour. Heritage is really small (old Gibson factory) in Kalamazoo but they have/had a really nice free tour. Very friendly staff.

Turner, if your travels are bringing you anywhere near Northern California this weekend, and you're looking for Rickenbacker events, you are cordially invited to join us at the Bay Area Rickenbacker Confluence (BARC) on Saturday May 18th 8) :D

Don't waste your time going to the Fender Museum; I've been. The drive is awful, and the "museum" is a joke. I took a friend from out of town and felt embarrassed afterwards.

There's so much to do. I would recommend trying hang out with some of the local forumites if you can. Truetone is a nice store, but the people are the key. They have nicer Ricks than you'll find in any store anyway.

Graham,
You are right it is always nice to get the local perspective. Last time I was in London we met up with a member of the Britbike forum and had a great time and made a new friend as well.
