4003s converted to a 4000

Hey Guys, I recently purchased this 1988 4003s from an awesome Forum brother and it was missing the front pickup.
So I did what the reasonable person would do . . . convert it to a 4000!
It sounds awesome and I love the necks on these S basses. It is honestly one of the most comfortable Rickenbackers I have ever had. I love it!

Wow!
Now if we could only figure out how to fabricate matte black bridge saddles....

That is way cool,Greg! So,this would have one of the hot(ter) Higain pickups in it? Did you keep the cap? Love the all black look!

No, No Cap Woody but the PU is pretty Hot. I usually only really use the Bridge PU on my Ricks anyway so the 4000 setup seems to suit me.

Those are the DR black coated strings which initially I didn't care for but have grown to quite like them.
They sound fantastic on this bass.
