I like the tone of Rotosound roundwounds, but I've had to many sets with dead strings. When it comes to the tone, what is the closest replacement out there?

Scott,i used to use Swing bass and even the superwound strings on my basses, but have not had a set on in decades. I think the DR highbeams or fatbeams have all the clank one could want,if that's what you're going for. Those and circle k's,which i think are a smoother sounding string are what i use these days.

Scott, try a set of these - pretty fret friendly also. Price is right too. And they stay bright a lot longer too.

GHS Super Steels have a smoother feel, good consistency, fair price, and good longetivity.
