Do most music stores do this?

Last weekend I went to the local Rickenbacker dealer and they had three 330 in stock
two were Ruby color and one was Mapleglow. Now the Natural one two weeks ago was
1399.00 and the new Ruby ones were 1427.00. Now the Natural one went up to 1427.00
which has been in stock before the other two came in. Is this something that music stores
do? Do they raise the price to match the new ones.
