TYhis video was making the rounds on FB yesterday and for those who don't go there I figured I'd put it up. A grainy video featuring an early 4001. Enjoy

Hi William,

Maybe we can get a clearer still of the bass here?

Looks like the same performance, only with the live sound. Much better quality video, of course. No, that 4001 has a white pickguard. Check out those "amps." Wonder if they go to eleven?

I was thinking it MAY be a gold guard after comparing the white shirt collars to the guard.

Of course, the guard is shiny & photographs differently than the flat shirt material.

Thoughts?

That "Spinal Tap" term has become pretty common now. I sometimes buy a lager beer called "Session" at the local liquor store. The 12 pack box has a bunch of short one liners such as:

Keep Session Weird
Short on neck. Long on Flavor

And of course:

A beer that goes to 11 (fluid ounces)

I can remember this one being discussed back in '06 or so!

Love those rare 60'S MG 4000/1 basses!

I like the stage risers modeled on Sears & Roebuck amplifiers!

I got to play Pretty Woman at a Valentine's Day gig at a local watering hole in @ 2009 with the gentleman who wrote the song, who sat in with the band I was playing with at the time. He played the riff and sang, and I played the chimey rhythm guitar parts, especially in the bridge, and our lead singer provided backup vocals. It brought the house down.

Me too, Tony.

Scott, the song of a lifetime. Had to be so great!
