Hello one and all - hope that you have all been enjoying the summer!

I apologise if this has already been mentioned, but there is a beautiful eight-string 4005 on eBay at the moment - I never even knew that such a thing existed! The seller says that it was custom-made by Paul Wilczynski, although I'm not sure whether they mean that it is a recent custom build or an existing 4005 which he modified. Is there anybody here who knows the story of this incredible bass, and would be happy to tell us all about it?

Actually the old damaged 4005 is now more dead than it was Quoting Paul W: "The original donor instrument will be destroyed."
