Here's a thread where this builder discusses amp EQs with wiring schematics and graphs of the tonal output in different amps/settings.

I knew Lemmy would set bass/treble to 0 and mid to 10. I know what it sounds like. Doesn't sound that way through my amp. Now I see why.
