Yes, where are you located and what do you want done? Are you changing colors and what does it have on it now??
All important questions.

Located in Philly. I am changing colors. Looking to get it done in the Vintage Fire Glo. It's Currently midnight blue.

I don't know of any refinishers in the Philly area....but something to consider, do you have a back up finish color in mind? I say this because there is a possibility that your particular bass was finished in Midnight Blue because the wood used in the body might not have looked good in Mapleglo or Fireglo?
For your sake I hope this isn't the case, but it would be a shame to strip that finish off only to discover unsightly blemishes.....you could always refin in white!!!!

This might sound crazy, but if its a later model in nice shape, maybe someone will trade you a fireglo for your midnight blue

Hmmm Never thought about the wood possibly not being the best looking. I guess it would make sense for them to choose it to be a solid color over others.

And it may be difficult to get any dark blue out of the wood if it's seeped in. My '64 1000 JG looked like spalted maple when I had it refin'd! Thankfully it was still cool looking. A trade (or a sale and a purchase) is likely your best bet. What year and model?

That's somewhat rare then. Yep, see if you can get in touch with Curt Wilson.

I would lean towards keeping this correct, and vie for a trade.
I would imagine there can't be too many left-handed early Midnight Blue's with black trim...
Is it fair to say a refin would cut its resale value in half?
Bueller? Bueller? Paul B. ?

Does Curt Wilson work with Conversion Varnish?
