If you were a famous musician, (although I am pretty sure there are a few around here), and you were offered your own Rickenbacker signature model, how would you design it?

- 360F Model with all deluxe appointments including checkered headstock binding
- Nitrocellulose Blue Boy finish
- Fat neck
- 1 11/16" nut width
- 12" fretboard radius
- Light matte finish on fretboard
- Tall fretwire
- Mastery Bridge w/ recessed baseplate
- Grover Sta-Tite tuners
- Ceramic Higain w/ a toaster cover at the bridge, Alnico hot toaster at the neck.
- Two knob/3-way switch wiring scheme
- Oven knobs
- Mono jack
- Bigsby B7

That's it.

mine is simple, slap another pickup on a 620. Would that be a 630?

Took a 1997 re-issue, added bouble checkered binding, crushed pearl inlays, Accent Vibrato, thinned the neck to '60's specs, thinned the headstock a bit too, added gold pickguards, TRC, and oven knobs and came up with what I call my Rick 1997DS!

There are plenty of pictures of it on the forum as I play it at most of the local jams.

I like it so much I'm going to do a second one just like it from the carcass of a badly modified and abused '66 335. This one will be Jetglo and have the standard "slash" sound hole instead of the "F". I will call it a 335DS.

I'm not sure where I'd start!

It would have to be 4001-based, fretless, jetglo finish, with toaster & horsie pups and checkered binding.

4004 Cii amberfireglo,with pickups moved to the 4002 positions,without the need for a pickguard. Might as well have an ebony fretboard while we're at it,and elongated headstock,natch. Gold plexi trc. Yep,that would work. And a fretless 2nd one,too.

For me? Start with a properly shaped 381v69.

-Nitro Two Tone Brown
-Gold top guard
-Tortoise lower guard with 4 oven knobs and a vintage 5th knob
-Boat V neck shape
-Light nitro top coat on the fretboard
-7.5" radius
-Fender nut width
-Bone nut
-Vintage fretwire
-Piezo-saddled ABR-1 bridge drilled into the wood
-Alnico 3 humbucker in the neck pos.
-Scatter wound toaster in the bridge pos., no cap
-Accent Vibrato with long handle
-5th knob is the piezo blender

I have a couple of them. . . . I'm thinking a double neck WB would be cool though.
