This photo is referenced on another forum, with a query about what the musician on the right is playing - any ideas?

Betcha the photo was taken at Rickenbacker or at least by Rickenbacker. Very unusual for a band to be playing exclusively Ricks and Rick amps. There are similar shots of other bands but were probably taken for publicity purposes. In my book there are shots of Rick Nelson with James Burton sitting at a Rick steel (?!), Gentleman Jim Reeves, and the Fabulous Kim Sisters with all Rick equipment. While the Reeves' "Blue Boys" may have actually performed with the equipment, I can't believe that the Kim Sisters did. But I could be wrong.

They must have been playing Mr. Tamborine Man during that photo shoot!

Wasn't William Shatner in Steppenwolf during that time period?

That would be appropriate given the Byrd's guitar in the shot, too. 8)

A Jerry Byrd console looks right. The folks on the original forum (pertaining to combo organs) came to the same conclusion at almost exactly the same time as your post!
