Thanks Ron - sound advice. Turns out I was able to wait a mere 2 hours before finally caving in...the guitar was pretty much at room temperature and, remarkably, perfectly in tune. It plays superbly, with good string spacing (thanks to the replacement nut) and nice low action. No fret buzz that I've found so far. Haven't had a chance to plug it in yet but will have some time this weekend to go nuts.
The azureglo finish is gorgeous! Only a few blemishes and very, very minor ones at that. Pics soon

The azureglo finish is rather chameleon-like and appears quite different depending on the lighting...these pics err on the darker side of the range, as the guitar can look bright blue in full light. However, I like these pics the best...this is likely how the instrument will appear in the dark, somewhat sketchy bars I tend to play in these days .
