Having pretty much given up my search for an azureglo 450/12, I spotted this 360/12 and was thinking of putting an offer in:

Being partially colorblind(!) I'm wondering what others think about the originality of the finish. Looks OK to me, but I've seen enough "transition years" Ricks refinished in azureglo to make me mildly cautious. Other than that, it looks nicely set up - newer nut, 12-saddle bridge - I'm guessing the previous owner got it playing just right. All in all a pretty cool guitar - a kind of fusion REM-Let's Active homage to the early IRS years (in my mind, at least  ).

Looks legit to me - great looking guitar and at that price - even if it was refinished (which I don't think is the case), it still wouldn't be a bad deal.

These early 80s x-braced Ricks sound great!

Cool...thanks Collin! I put an offer in, so we'll see how this turns out. The sellers seem like a good bunch.

OK, FedEx just dropped off the guitar! I opened the box and am now staring at a yet-to-be-opened case...any ideas how long I should wait?? The case doesn't feel particularly cold itself but the hardware is a tad chilly, making me think this hit some cold weather at some point...

I would flip open the case and feel the hardware on the guitar. If its really chilly, close 'er up and wait 12 hours, maybe even overnight, for it to approach room temperature. If it's not that chilly, close it up and wait a few hours.
