I had 4 4003's last year and foolishly let them go. I since was able to score a 77 4001 and that has just re ignited my need for all things Ric.... well today might be the first and last time I pull the trigger on 2 Rics in the same day. I scored a beautiful 2012 Mapleglo and my very first 2000 Fireglo that some like to refer to as Clownglo. I love all Ric finishes but am just so happy to be able to be gigging a 4003 every week a gain. Pics will follow shortly...
Happy Thanksgiving to all the folks at Rickenbacker and the forum!

Thanks Matt! Jeff it is a Mapleglo....
Well I did a quick recon up I95 North ths afternoon and got my hands on the 2000 Fireglo 4003. At first I was about to turn right around and head back. The strings were about a foot and a half off of the finger board and I was not a happy camper....and it did not come with a case. But upon closer inspection I felt sure that the neck would adjust out and offered the seller what I thought was fair and headed home with hopes that she was not beyond my setup abilities. When I took the TRC off I noticed that the truss rods were completely loosened. I pulled out my Ric TR adjuster (that did not fit any of my last four 4003's) and it fit like a glove and I was able to evenly tighten the rods. I pulled off the awful high tensions strings that were on it and put on some light gauge, balanced XL's and BAMO! Instant Rickenrocker! Action looks pretty good, no buzzing and it plays and sounds great. Cant wait to take her to my gig on Friday. Also got the Fedex Tracking number for my 2012 Mapleglo and looking forward to her landing sometime next week! Feels so good to be back in the fold of Ric!

Don't you feel a Jetglo is needed to balance out the MG and FG?
