Tell me about this Toaster

I submit two images of the same pickup for forum scrutiny:


Writing on the plate shows the (alleged, as I have not tested) resistance.
The base plate and the "fanned" or crooked magnets suggest to me that this is a 60's toaster, but isn't the winding a little hot for that?
Also: I thought all toasters had little circles at either side of the "toaster slots" from the plastic molding process, but this toaster does not have any such circles.
