Did some mods to my 330

Few mods to my Ric 330 and think I've got her finished.

Since I got it I've changed the guards to gold and painted the truss rod cover, vintage knobs and changed the hi-gains to toasters. More recent upgrades are a trapeze tailpiece and a new silver vintage case that I got yesterday. Ever since I got my Johnny Marr Jaguar with a similar case, I didn't need an excuse to get another one.

I always liked Tom Pettys 1997, so tried to go for a similar vibe. I'm still undecided about the toasters, I have them in my 360/12 and love them but they have a different tone with the 6 string, may change them for hi-gains with toaster covers but I'll give them their chance. Thinking some keyline tuners would be a welcome upgrade, but not sure how much work would be involved.

Here's some (bad) pics, there's hardly any daylight here today.

Looks sharp, very reminiscent of Petty's.

If you want to install the old style tuners, you'll have to grab a set of these: http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tuners/Tune ... shing.html

That was an idea, but think finding a pair of those would be a challenge.

I looked at those. Would it be the hex or the circular ones though? I'd have thought circular, but the Schallers are hex?

I've contemplated performing very similar mods to my 330 Fireglo. Now that I've seen these pics, I think I'm ready to do so! You've done a great job. Beautiful guitar.

Matter of preference, really. I think Rickenbacker used hex in the 50s and round in the 60s.
