NAMM Jam With Kenny

Post by 8mileshigher »

Here are a few smart phone-pics that I poached from Facebook that were taken at last week's NAMM Jam. Photo credits to Diane, Scotty, Joey etc.

Anyone else got pics ?

NAMM Jam With Kenny

Post by 8mileshigher »

I unearthed a few more pictures from the great evening we had with Kenny, the night before NAMM.

Apologies in advance that these pictures are all lousy quality .... dark and no flash :( :(

Regretfully, I am to blame as the second-rate photographer, but you folks already knew that !

The Daphne Blue 480 looks pretty good on me, if I do say so...

O.K., I'm back from two weeks+ of misery due to the post-NAMM flu I had.

Like Rich, I will apologize in advance for the quality of the pictures. partly because I have a new camera and am still getting used to it, but IMO those "sports screens" caused problems for the autoexposure control on the camera  .

I do have three video clips (taken on the same camera) which Joey may help me with posting on YouTube. :) 8)

I did take some video with the JVC camcorder, but I haven't reviewed any of those yet, and that camera's microphone gets overloaded easily at high sound levels, so no promises on those.

Oh, and as usual, if anyone wants the hi-res versions of any of these still shots, let me know and I will e-mail them to you. :)

I just got a new camera Thursday; here is a photo made with only the light from a 4 watt nightlight that was 11' across the room from the wall the range is on. This was a quick handheld shot, no tripod. The high res file looks pretty amazing, not really seen in this small resolution image.

Good color balance on that, even with the low illumination! 8)

I thought that you might ask about the weighting, because, as we all know, "... ♪ The weighting is the hardest part ♪ ..."

It will get even better once I do the upgrades to my computer so I can go back to shooting in RAW. :!: I am astounded by the extreme low light capabilities of the 6D. :D
