Vibration/buzz issue on a 360/12

I just restrung a relatively new 360/12 for the first time, which is another story (wow), and suddenly certain strings at certain fret positions were creating this sympathetic buzz somewhere in the guitar, other than the frets, which are perfect. Didn't come through on the amp, but it was bugging me nonetheless. I resolved that I would solve this today no matter what. Having a 330/6 as well, I'm familiar with the usual suspects. Bridge height screws/springs, check. Intonation screws/springs. Check. Not a problem. Loose truss rod? Thankfully, no. I took off the pickguard(s) and checked all the pots and the switch. Nothing. Still buzzed. Hmm, one of the little washers/trim pieces/whatever you call them underneath the hex nut on the tuning pegs....ok, that was rattling, so I tightened the hex. Solved that issue, but still no joy.
I was about to just say forget it, its minor, I'll deal with it, and on a whim I decided to unscrew and reseat the jack plate on the side of the guitar. Damn if that wasn't it! Perfect guitar now.
Lesson: Check EVERYTHING if you have a vibration issue. Especially on a 12, which is just one huge ball of sympathetic vibrations, it could be the least likely thing imaginable.
