Hello All

Had my 620/6 a while now through a Vox Night Train, a great combination, and various pedals.
Just wondered if anybody out there is using any Fender Amps and what sort of sound they are getting.
Looking for a second amp, maybe a Fender??????????????????

How big a Fender are you looking for? I have played my 330 through my old Princeton Reverb to good effect, and it also sounds like a Rick through my Concert Amp.

Looking at something the size of a twin or single speaker combo.

It will be used at home or a local music club, not been playing long enough for gigs just yet

I love the 1990-1995 brown Vibroverb reissues. Great amps!

That covers a lot of ground, almost any Fender amp can be described like that.

Do you want a tube, slid state, digital or analog effects, 6", 8", 10", 12"; how many $$$ do you to spend? Modern or vintage style? We could use a bit more info here.

I would prefer a tube amp
I have quite a few pedals so not looking for lots of effects on the amp
Not too concerned about the style, I think all Fender Amps look good.
I am in the UK so guess the budget is max £1000 which I think is about $1400??????

Hi John! Have you considered a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue? They're right in your price range, and they sound great for a variety of applications. For instance, you can nail some great clean blues sounds or get really bright and jangly. Many people here use them.

Fender amp with a Ric is better than the iconic Vox/Ric combo.

I have no idea why, all I know is my Rics sound so much better when I play them through my Fender Princeton Chorus. They jangle more, they have more warmth, they sound crystal clear. A perfect clean tone.

You're not going to make a mistake with a Twin Reverb...

Just an FYI. Due to RoHS rules, any Fender amps that have reverb/trem use a DSP for modulation. This includes the Twin Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, Princeton Reverb, ect.
From Fender:
This component was a compromise for the EU market due to current RoHS laws in that country. ... The option was to not sell amplifiers with an LDR component installed in them from factory or develop the DSP chip for countries with this restriction. You will not find this DSP chip in any US domestic amplifier or any export where the legal complications are not present."

At 85-100W and 65 lbs, they can be a bit much, though...

+1. Very versatile amps with just enough grunt for most occasions - and you can mike 'em for big gigs!

My Rickenbackers in my old 72 Princeton Reverb sound very nice. That's my main amp since i've bought it 15 years ago.
It's ok for home use, as well as for gigs (miked or not) or rehearsals.
My 1990 Vox AC30 collects dust since.

Compared to my 120 W Peavey Triumph (about 85 lbs) it's a bit of a burden lifter!

Thanks for the advice everybody.
Both the Twin Reverb and Princeton are available inn the UK so I will give them a try, wondered if anybody used the Supersonic?????????
I am planing on buying a Fender Tele in the future so I guess that will be a nice match.
Gibson Less Paul, Ricky 620/6, Vox Night Train, add a Fender Amp and that should do it for me, but I guess there are always more pedals to by
