I've been working on it, Snowman. Dan-o and I checked out one place yesterday. The problem is some key people won't be available in July and some not in August. The most successful SCARFs (best turnout) have always in the summer, when people will be most likely to travel.

I am not going to summer school this summer, and I'll be available after July 5th to help out. :D

There might be a slim chance I could make this one. The next two months should tell.

I'll be in LA for a few hours on April 26th, and again on May 5th, but not nearly enough time for a get together. Otherwise, I'll be just a bit too far South...

I was hoping for August. That's when we've historically had our best turnouts. Mike Snow can't make it then, and asked that we please have SCARF when he can be there, so it has to be another time. Possibly either early-mid July (September is usually too brutally hot in So Cal for moving lots of gear) or maybe it will be another Ricktoberfest® SCARF in early to mid October. Until then, we might have a low key mini-jam for the diehards that need to satisfy their jam fix.

July isn't looking like a good time to be traveling for me. I have too many gigs that month. Late October would be nice, however. And I realize that you can't please everybody. If I can get out there this year, I hope I can add my drumming to some Byrds songs.

I've been checking out a few places. Although one place was really cool, it was a no go. Too bad, because it was a nice huge room with a very large stage and a great PA, plus food and drink, but they definitely only want Mexican Ranchero or whatever they call it, style music at this place on the weekends.
I have at least one place to check out next week.

Oh, come on guys! Can't you accommodate that place? Work up arrangements of popular songs to fit the theme like:

Mexican Girl
Close To The Border
I want To Hold Your Piñata
I Can't Eplain (In English)

Stuff like that...........

Nope, even my band, Victoria's Circuit that does several rock en español songs from bands like; Mana', Soda Stereo, Héroes Del Silencio, Enamitos Verdes, etc. doesn't fit the bill.
