Wavy grovers (again)

Hi guys !
I'm new to this forum and this is my first message.

I was given (...really!) a 4001 from 82 which came with those wavy grovers tuners. Two of them are broken and fall apart all the time.
So I have several questions :
Is it possible to repair those tuners ?

If not, what is a good replacement for those tuners ? I was looking at schaller's or hipshot'sbut I'm afraid the hole on my bass' head will be too tight.

and eventually, if someone has some of these they wish to sell, let me know :) !

Thanks !!

Alphonse

Do you have all the parts? If so, how handy are you? The swagged part can be drilled and tapped for screws. members have also used epoxy to glue them back together. if you are missing parts, that's not going to help you.

Yes I do have all the parts and the screws are still in actually. I'll try the glue then.
Thanks

Hi

If for any reason you end up not using the Grovers, and one of them is a bass side tuner (E or A), I'll be happy to pay you for them if they're nickel plated (not chrome).

Cheers
