Hi everyone,
I have a 1976 480. I think my higain pickups are getting weak. I would like to put a new pickups. Where can I order them? I saw it is possible to order form Pick of the Ricks but I wonder does this pickups fit with my guitar. They look the same but I am not sure. Any suggestion?
sorry for my bad English.

Your English is fine.

IIRC, the new high gains are the same dimension as the ones in your 480, so they should be a perfect swap (no modifications needed).

The 480 models have the standard size Ric pickups.
But the 481 models were different pickups.

thanks!
Then I will change the pickups. I will save the old ones even though I'll never sell this guitar. It is my first guitar . My father bought it when I was 13 , it was 30 years ago :)

The 480 models are awesome guitars --- you need to check out the thread in the Rickenbacker Photography section here titled "Photographs of the 480 Series" 8) .... its' sort of like a mutual admiration society for us 480 enthusiasts ! :D
Post some pics of your 480 there and join the club !

I will. I have to take photos first. For now I just registered my guitar and put one photo :) next week I'll add some more photos , now I am in the middle of a film shoot and I have no time or energy for photo session :)

The finish is Fireglo rather then Burgundy.

I have a Burgundy 480 from 1981 myself...

Before you change pickups, you might consider removing or bypassing the "tone killer" capacitor. I noticed a boost in output when I did that for my old 320.

Yeah I suggested bypassing the cap when he made this thread over on OSG. Everyone should bypass it.
