Rickenbacker acoustic guitars 700 series

Post by chefmikey »

I'm interested in getting a Rickenbacker acoustic guitar, but I've read that they stopped making them in February 2013.
I have called all the guitar shops in the bay area, and even Rickenbacker headquarters who recommended RickResource.
Can anybody guide me on how to obtain one, and what price range I am looking at?
Thanks,

A few years ago, Paul Wilczynski was building them under a licensing agreement with RIC. I believe he has currently ceased production of Rickenbacker acoustic guitars. That said, I do believe he is building acoustic guitars like the 700 series but under his own brand now. I am not sure how current this information is, however. You might do well to send him a PM. I hope this helps.

You might keep your eye on ebay, they show up from time to time, not quite often. Maybe around five to six grands ?
Forumite Graham has a factory six string on the bay :
