Rickenbacker Bass Guitar Strings #95511

Hi all,
I spent some time searching the forum but I couldn't find anything related to this specific question. My question is regarding the round wound wrap (not the core) of the standard Rickenbacker bass guitar strings model #95511 (.45 - .105): Can anybody confirm if it is pure nickel, or if it is nickel plated steel? They are noted as being nickel on the package, so I've been assuming that the round wound wrap is pure nickel - however, I wanted to see if there is any additional information available.
I've found that I quite like these strings in terms of tone and feel and I just want to confirm what it is that I am playing to aid in string experimentation in the future.
Thanks very much!
