thanks guys using elixir strings, and the first ditty is one of my own lol. yes i will throw the 4001 soon for a comparison.

using a vt bass preamp for the snarl.

suits the style of music i play steve once it is mixed with guitar you hardly notice it.

The mids and high end sound nice, George, but where's the bottom end these basses have in spades?

It is only a camera microphone used to record it won't pIck up the low end , which i can assure you is there, No worries on that front.
