Adjusting Pickups on '07 330

Post by Amber »

Can anyone tell me how to adjust these? I see foam between the body and pickup. Can I compress or de-compress the foam by turning screws? if so which ones. Or, do I just move the pole pieces up and down? What distance should the top of the pickup be from the strings and what distance should the poles be?
Many thanks.

They are adjustable to some degree. Use the "center screw" on each side of the pickup. It's the longer screw that is part # 5203 ("Mounting Screw") in this drawing:

FWIW, when I adjust mine, I give the pickup a little push or pull by hand to help it move down or up (I figure that it will help avoid the screw hole from getting stripped).
