Will 4001C64 keywinds fit 4001V63 ?

I'm sure this has been covered before but I just can't find it...but is the bushing diameter the same on both headstocks? Or would I have to drill larger or dowel it and re drill smaller?

Joe, the Schaller made standard bushing has a larger diameter, therefore the hole is slightly larger in the V63 headstock. The Gotoh made Kluson replica tuners as used on the C64 basses will have the smaller vintage size diameter bushing. You will have to modify the larger holes to fit the C64 size bushings.

I just improvised...I stripped the chrome off the schallers and left just the nickel and lathed the bushing down a bit to make it thinner. It's not quite as small as the c64 but it looks a lot better.
