Hey all. I'm thrilled to be a new member here. Also, my first Rick is being delivered today, so that's kinda cool too... It's a used 620/6 from 2011, and I can see from tracking that it is no more than 10 miles from my home. Looking forward to many interesting discussions, so here's to Ricks!

Welcome Aboard Scott!
620s are my favorite RICs, A 2011 will have full length inlays.
Post some pics if you can. I never get tired of looking at them....

Welcome to the RRF and congrats on the new 620. Ricks are kinda habit forming. So you can expect a lot of enabling here if you feel the itch to get a second.

Here's a photo I said I'd post. I replaced the standard R tailpiece with the trapeze.

It's a feature on all new 620s since 2009 if I recall correctly.
It means the inlays go from one edge of the fret board to the other. Rickenbacker used to do them that way back in the 1960s but then stopped in the early 70s.
From 1972ish to 2008 the inlays were smaller triangles.
So my FG 1967 625 has the full length ones,
while my 1977 JG 620 and my 2002 BG 620 VB have the smaller triangles.
Your 620 looks great! Are you pleased with how it sounds? A Fender Deluxe Reverb is a great choice to play it through!

Very nice guitar and congrats on your first Ric. Hopefully it will lead to others. I've always been a fan of the 610s, the plain jane version of the 620. For some reason Rickenbacker decided to stop making the 610s. I think if you can find one they're a great deal.
Here's my collection..
