Is there any way to authenticate a 4001 CS without the certificate of authenticity? Thanks.

Call the Rickenbacker office, or send them an e-mail.

I'm sure they'll want the serial number and maybe some photographs, but I feel like I have read several posts on this forum where people authenticated instruments which were missing the Certificate of Authenticity. I even seem to recall people being able to get written verification from RIC that their instrument is authentic; it's not a proper replacement CoA, but it can serve the same purpose.

Yup,

I had them do this for me for a Blackstar I owned.
