Me too, so, they want your ZIP code. Do you suppose they look at that and if you're too far from Austin, they just throw our your vote?

Nope, they know Austin bands/musicians are known by folks worldwide.

I see this come up every year & I can't keep my mouth shut any longer. Someone explain to me the

validity of such a poll, where people vote for friends & have no idea what the other musicians sound like?

What exactly is the point of this? What is gained? If there is some kind of gain, is it rightfully earned?

Someone PLEASE enlighten me.

Re: music polls; this is pretty much the norm, so since that is how it works it all equals out in the end, and the best band wins, anyways!
