40 year itch ...

Back in the early 70s I played a Rickenbacker 360 in a music shop in Bury, Lancashire (UK) and fell in love.
I was a teeenager at the time and the guitar was way out of my league - I ended up buying a Hofner Colorama for £5 from a junk shop, but I've lusted after a 360 ever since.
This christmas I was given some money. A week or so later I spotted a slightly worse for wear 1973 Rickenbacker 360 on ebay ... you can guess the rest. :D

I have soft spot for guitars (and other things) that show their scars and look like they've been around the block a few times. 1973 was about the time I tried out the Rick' in the music shop. And, for once, I had a bit of money to spend.

Best christmas ever :D

Thank you.

I haven't played a guitar for about 5 years ... I can't put the damn thing down, my fingers are really sore now!

Welcome Dave - great guitar! I'm not sure if you are still living in England, but, if so, welcome to the RRF and (in particular) the UK branch of the Ric fraternity.

Thanks for the welcome - yes, still in the UK - just crossed over the Pennines to Yorkshire
