This month is the 25th anniversary of owning my 1981 360-12WB FG ckbd. So some friends and I took it out to a local open jam and had fun playing "I Need You," and "Ticket to Ride." (2-song slot for the open jam. Many good young players. The future of classic rock and guitar bands is secure here in the Midwest.) Pix:

Yes, as authentic as 34 years of natural patina can give it. Thanks!

You all will love how I got it: after my first divorce, I actually had a good job, no kids, and some cash left. I went to my local used guitar dealer who has quite a good reputation, and said I wanted one. He started with the excuses about availability. I said fine, I know you'll do your best. He had connections. I was sure he would find me one.

A couple of days later, I get a phone call. With a sheepish voice, he said I would not believe what walked in. A guy walked in, put it on the counter, said he didn't play it anymore, and could he trade it for a Les Paul. The trade was made and I got the immediate phone call. Twenty-five years ago I paid $750 for it as you see it with its case.
