Re: Byrds fingerpicking viedo
I posted on my U Tube channel a fun finger picking exercise. This is really a good way to develop your right hand. Just have fun with it. No rules on this one. Just try to concentrate on the correct fingering. Mostly the forward roll. Go to my U Tube channel.

Gary,
I just watched your "Bells of Rhymney" play-along video and found it very edifying, like all of your lessons. I have one question: Roger has said that the song was played and recorded in dropped-D. I've done it that way on my Alvarez acoustic, and, although it sounds really nice (and sort of spacious), the chord-roots on the low E-pair are in unfamiliar places, which creates problems for me. Specifically, to play the E-chord voicing you have to barre several strings with the joint of your middle finger. Have you ever tried doing the song in dropped-D?
Robert

Yes Robert that song was recorded in drop D.I have played it both ways. I don't think it's worth the hassle of tuning down for one song. It sounds great when you do tho. I prefer having the the 2nd Guitar tune down. That part is more dominant to me. Thanks
