JB3

Post by djburke »

Just picked up a new Janglebox 3 to go with my Rick. 360 12.
Can anyone pass on the correct setting for all those knobs,
with which to get the correct Byrds sounds, as it can with NO
instructions. Any help will be appreciated, any my attempts haven't
proved too sucessful.
Please and Thanks...........Don

May I suggest you start with all the knobs turned up to 12:00 and adjust from there. I believe if you trust your ears, you'll get close enough to be satisfied.

Thanks for the reply.
Question does it make any difference using a fresh 9 volt verses the AC adapter?

No difference in tone, but a major one in convenience. I would recommend removing the battery from the unit (to avoid corrosion) and then using the adapter.

It is a tradeoff. The battery, as with any stomp box, makes the unit completely portable. But a battery can die at an inopportune moment. the AC adaptor makes the unit more reliable, but may induce some noise into the system from hum, RF, or electrostatic source.

My experience has been just that, especially RF interference. So if I'm doing any kind of recording, I use the battery as a power supply. At gigs such interference hasn't been such an annoyance.

I would like to extend my most heart felt appreciation for the replies.
In my case the problem "appears" to be a so called fresh 9v. battery.
Switched to the AC adaptor and wow, now there's the sould we all love.
Many thanks.................Don
