Post by wmthor »

Please excuse my ignorance, but what amp is Roger using on this episode of the Marty Stuart Show?

Did I also see a Roland JC120 as well? Look at the left side of the screen.

Thanks Jim. I know that Kenny Vaughn (that Tele player) and Marty Stuart uses Princeton Reverbs on the show, but the amp that I was questioning was the one on the far left.

McGuinn is known for using a JC 120 for years. I tried to follow the cables but couldn't. If those guys on the show regularly use PR's, then Roger is probably playing through the 120. Nothing unusual at all about the amps being in a different order than the players. That happens to me all the time, especially in one-off "oddball" scenarios, much like going on a TV show with an established act like this.

Yeah I knew he had ditched the 120 for a while - this is the first sign I've seen that it's back. Of course, it wouldn't really make sense to use a pod in this situation.
