This might be a pointless post but i love looking through pictures of rics and i guess we all do here so i thought getting a trapeze would be the perfect excuse to start a topic I got this last year as i love the RM models but couldn't afford a proper one so i thought this would be the next best thing. I guess the fact that it was a UK only model made it more fitting.
Months ago i was suppose to be getting an accent for it but i was too late as the shop had sold it and ever since i never seemed to have the money when one popped up. But as the trapeze isn't too hard to get i thought i'd pull the plug on it until eventually get the accent. I'll eventually get them toasters with the vintage strap buttons too!
Anyways, this guitar is awesome and I'm very glad to have it!

I'll still never understand the model name though -- that can't possibly be official ? A completely different 330F model already existed 50+ years ago.

I was confused about the name too, like you said it relates to a completely different model so this one could/should have been called a 330s maybe?
The COA states that the model is a 330-F so i guess it must be official. I remember that Sound affects premier (the shop i bought it from) called it a 330-F too.

On a side topic, the original "F" guitars look great!

I don't see any problems here; the '60s model was a 330F, not a 330-F, IIRC.

I'd recommend that you stick with the 'modern' buttons and put the mating Schaller locks on your strap. It's a very nice looking guitar. Having it hit the floor at some point would be a shame when its easily preventable.

I've pulled the vintage style ones off any of mine that came with them in favor of the modern ones. I keep the originals, of course, but don't plan to use them.

Maybe 330-F stands for "330 with an F hole." I looked at the fretboard, and it looks like it has a 24-fret neck, like a regular 330. Of course, when most Rick afficionados think of a 330F, we think of the old full-body series. Beautiful guitar, by the way! Wish they'd add the Model 1997 to the vintage series again!
