Hey Guys,

I've just received my new 4003 and it's trully the best bass i've ever had.
The only thing i've noticed is that the neck pickup seems to be more quiet then the treble one , even though the pickup height is almost the same.
Either way it sounds like a beast.

Cheers Ricks

Congratulations!!! I noticed the same thing with my new 4003s. I also noticed a quiet G string. Problem was solved when I changed the stock strings to other strings.

That is the way the pickups are designed , if the bass pickup was at the same level as the treble pickup, it would overpower the sound. raise the poles if it is not enough for you.

Also, try dialing down the volume on the treble pickup a tad with both pickups on (middle position on the toggle). Do this while striking an open string and listen to the difference in tone. Try it also with dialing back the bass pickup a bit.

Don't be shy about experimenting with the stereo output! There is tremendous potential there!

I would just lower the treble pickup until there's no volume drop when you switch between the pickups. I have always done that with all my 2-pickup guitars and basses.
