Hello all, Chris is to be cremated today at 3 PM Phoenix time. Scotty asks everyone to set up your favorite Yes or Chris Squire song and play it at that time in his memory.
Thank you and RIP Christopher Squire.

From Scotty Squire:
My best friend and the love of my life Chris Squire will be cremated today in Scottsdale, Arizona at 3:00 pm.
However, knowing Chris, he might be running a bit late for the event; After all, he has always been the 'late' Chris Squire.
So at 3:00 pm Phoenix time, please take a moment to play your favorite Yes or Chris Squire song, or just think of your favorite Chris Squire memory.
Sending my love to all,
Scotland Squire

Yes, got the message from Scotty on Facebook. I'm ready! Actually, I've been playing CS nonstop since Sunday morning anyway, but will cease all activities at the appointed hour, and send good vibes. Bittersweet. Hard to celebrate him while being a bit torn up over it too....

I am thinking of you, Scotty; it is nice to see that, even in your time of mourning, you have a great sense of humor.

We're all yet to mourn his passing.
So let's start by celebrating the heck out of the guy at 3pm Phoenix time.

I believe that was 45 minutes ago, 5 PM EDT?
I did not have access to a playback device. So I sang "And You And I" as I walked my dogs...
I'll check - if they are 3 hours behind me I still have time. Might be a moment to actually use the 60 year old EV speakers at the heart of my old stereo.
It is 2:45 in Phoenix. I will set up my stereo to blast "And You And I"...

Master of Time
Setting sail
Over all of our lands
And as we look
Forever closer
Shall we now bid
Farewell farewell
Goodbye Chris.

So hard to pick one. I supposed I picked AYAI because there are a couple of bars that have eluded me all these years. Maybe now that I'm experimenting more with a pick such things will become more clear.
Great choices from both of you.

Ahh, Siberian Khatru was my choice too! That bass line epitomizes everything I love about Chris's writing and playing.
I followed it with Roundabout (and all of Fragile). That was the first Yes song I ever heard, back when it was newly released. I remember standing transfixed for the entire song, and at the end thinking "where has this music been all my life?"
Chris was and will always be an inspiration to me and countless others.

The wonderful part of an exercise like this is there are no wrong answers.
Well, maybe "White Car"
