Long time lurker, new member. I recently got a 12-saddle Tuneomatic mounted on a Rick baseplate from Winfield Vintage and installed it on my 360. Winfield market it for 660s but as you can see it works on a 360 as well. And I'm loving it. In terms of tone, compared to the Rick 12-saddle that I had on there before, there seems to be a fuller low end and a smoother top. String separation also seems better. Though the big gain I think is in terms of playability, the strings feel a lot less stiff, meaning that fretting is easier while you can also dig in a bit with your strumming/picking hand. And it still jangles like a Rick

(And the pickup you see in the bridge is a P90 style one that Pete Biltoft at Vintage Vibes made for me a few years ago)

And my apologies for the dustiness of the guitar in the photo, though I find a little dust on a guitar really improves the tone as well

I just prefer it that way, more of the sound that I'm looking for.

Horses for courses, as they say. I find that regular twelve-string stringing cuts through a dense mix better than Rick stringing, as the octave strings are more to the fore, while with Rick stringing the octave strings are more understated, which may or may not be the sound you are after.

Yup, I use a Markbass Compressore. Technically for bass, but works really well with guitar as well. It has a full compliment of controls making it very flexible and it's super quiet. I only tried it out based on the review it got here http://www.ovnilab.com/ but it was love at first listen.

I used to own a Janglebox but found it very noisy at higher compression settings and the bright switch option, though kind of cool, didn't record particularly well, it had a certain harshness. Though I see that they have since brought out a version with a blend control for the bright switch which could work better.

Otherwise, I just took delivery today of a Creation Audio Labs Redeemer, haven't had a chance to fully road test it yet but my first impressions are that it will work great for adding that presence/top end detail that will really make those octave strings shine through.
