I purchased an old, beat up 4001 expressively for the TRC so I could put it on another bass. The bass, I found on Craigslist was cheaper than buying a TRC on eBay. Previously a friend of mine had made a pick guard and TRC out of metal for me. I had them hanging around a while so I decided to take the beat up bass to Pat Wilkins out here in LA to have it refinished and restored using the metal parts. I'm very pleased with the results.

Great colour!
Why is there a screw missing on the TRC?

I lost it in the rug. I've got to get a new one.

That's what the big hardware store "magnet on a stick" is for. I've found all kinds of **** with it, down to eyeglass-size screws.
