Pole pieces won't turn

Hi!
I have got a 2013 620/12 guitar with hi-gain pickups, the ones with the HEX pole-pieces. I read this pole pieces can be adjusted in height, which I need to do because the high E and B are much louder than the G string.
But none of the poles can be turned with a normal amount of effort. I have the 3/32" hex key and I don't want to force anything. Any ideas of what may be happening?
Very kind regards
Miguel

Try a little WD40 at the base of each pole via the red straw that comes with the can. Make sure your hex key fits tight also.

Thank you aceonbass, I will try that. The hex key fits tight but those damn pieces dont want to move. Any of them in both pickups.
Kind regards

They will move; they can be quite tight.

One trick I use when trying to shift stubborn screws - try tightening it first (and use WD40 or equivalent)! If the screw will tighten, even just a fraction, chances are it will unfasten.

I had the same problem. A 2012 330, high gain pickups. Went to adjust my polepieces.....not a budge. No movement at all. Scared to put too much muscle into it.
Folks here told me just do it, put that little extra oooomph behind it and the poles will begin to turn. I bit the bullet, put more effort into it, and they moved.
Your polepieces will move. Seems they were set a bit too tight during the years our Rics were made.

Had this with my '08 360 JG... I just kept applying some force, then stopped, then tried again, and they moved after like snapping loose. But I was not concerned by this as many items have this, not just guitar p/us
