Highgain bridge pickup question

Hi everyone,

this would be my first post after following this forum for about three years.
I recently purchased a 4003w. It’s a great bass, and i decided to take of the bridge pickup cover
to put one of these available bezels on, instead.
Unfortunately the whole pickup assembly is crooked.
The pickup itself is mounted crooked, to what i suppose is a rubber block, by 3 degrees
and the block itself about 2 degrees to the base plate.
Did anyone of you ever try to take the whole thing apart?
I’m familiar with working on basses (pics of my collection will follow).
I wonder if it’s possible to put the whole thing back together the right way,
since i suppose the bezel will not leave enough room to install, the way the
assembly looks now.

Thanks for suggestions in advance

Reiner

Although the crooked pickup will not affect the sound, it is annoying. Perhaps RIC could start using a jig to align these with during assembly? Anyway, loosen the two screws on the bottom of the pickup's baseplate, then carefully rotate the pickup till it's as straight as you can make it. It may not rotate far enough, but if you use too much force, you can break one of the two wires.

Thanks a lot for your advice.
After taking the whole pickup out i realized that there are to screws holding
it to the baseplate.
I carefully widened one of the holes with a file.
Now the pickup sits straight as it should.
It looks better anyway :-)
