Hi,
can anybody tell me about the impedance in kOhms of the toasters they built in their 1973 guitars, especially the 450!

Toasters from that era should read somewhere around 6-8K Ohms or so; they do vary a bit as they were hand wound.

There is something special about old toasters, perhaps it is the aging of the magnets, but the lower DCR is a big part of it IMO.
