Just a quick heads up. Picked up a set of humbuckers off this guy and I'm very pleased with the sound.

Selling those pickups with Toaster style covers will get him in trouble with RIC.

Maybe, maybe not. He is based in the UK. I know that shops there openly sell Rick-a-likes such as Rockinbetter without seeming to have any issues. I'm sure John Hall could probably tell us more.

I posted pictures in another thread of custom made Rick pickguards and a truss rod cover I had done up for one of my guitars and John Hall sent me a private message saying that all aspects of Rick guitars are copyrighted but that they didn't have a problem with someone getting something made up as a one-off for their own use. I then asked about the Tone-Guard Rick pickguards and what the story was with them, whether they were licensed or somehow officially allowed and never heard back from him. Looking at the Tone-Guard website it doesn't look like they are officially endorsed, so I'm not sure to what extent Rick copyrights are enforced or even enforceable, or possibly the cost of enforcing them on a worldwide basis is potentially too expensive.
